This year in Children's Ministry Harvest's full scope and sequence of the Word of God continues.  Preschool children are being taught 52 specific portions of the New Testament reinforcing Jesus is the promise fulfilled.  Kindergarten through Grade 3 finish their four year journey through the Bible with the completion of the New Testament and the challenge to "Go!" and finish what He started.  Grade 4 and 5 take on the entire Old Testament with Myth Busters.

TIPS FOR TALKING ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S CHILDREN'S MINISTRY EXPERIENCE:
Preschoolers: Ask your child to recite the memory verse.  Create a quiet moment and ask your child to find the Harvest logo hidden on their craft. Ask your child about the biblical account they heard over the weekend.  Check out Rocksolid Families for ideas and tips to engage your child in spiritual discussion and activity during the week.

Kindergarten-Grade 3: Ask your child to recite the phrase of the week.  (It's on the Family Time devotional sheet)  Help your child open their Bible and complete a devotional together.  incorporate the memory verse into your conversation this week.  Ask your child to share with you one thing they learned that they never knew before about the Word of God. (Do not re-teach the lesson, just listen to what your child has to say about what they learned.)

Grades 4 and 5: Ask your child what they talked about during small group time. They participated in an activity this week, ask them what it was. Ask them about the myth from this weekend.  They learned something they didn't know before; ask them what that is. Do not force them to do their devotional but ask them to show you His Time and pick a few questions. Let them talk and you listen.  Ask them "feeling questions".  Share with them something you loved about the lesson this week.  (Do not re-teach the lesson; this a good time to listen to what your child thinks about spiritual things.)

Here's what your family will learn from three-years-old through Grade 5 growing up at Harvest Bible Chapel.
